The Fish Research List stocking density calculator is different from all the others.   There are several ideas about how to properly stock an aquarium.   Here I have created a calculator that accounts for all of the available methods for figuring the amount of fish that can live in your home aquarium.  Still, it is only prudent to keep close watch on your fish and invertebrates to ensure that they are healthy.  If signs of distress are evident, consult your local fish store (LFS) for the solution.  As always it is advised to build your stock slowly over time to avoid shocking your system and competition.
